Jessica's Review Wrap-Up
Venus in Fur
"Jessica Boone is a force of nature as Vanda, transforming on a dime from street to sophisticate. She creates the ultimate mystery of a woman while arguing with the playwright about female identity and sexual power. She pulls off a tour de force with Vanda that is impressive and breathtaking. It's a brave performance full of dangerous choices that pay off in spades."

"But the actors are the true glory of this production. Jessica Boone as Vanda manages to shock the audience by her ability to shift from the flustered young would-be actress who first walks on stage to the powerful dominatrix she seems at its end. She creates a woman who could well be “Venus,” the personification of love and object of desire in all its many forms."

"A knock-out interpretation...Jessica Boone and Guy Roberts give outstanding performances."
- Raymond Johnston, The Prague Post
Macbeth
"Jessica Boone plays Lady Macbeth with skillful power...In Jessica Boone's capable hands, the audience is gifted with a Lady Macbeth who shatters and folds under pressure. With Guy Roberts' staging of Jessica Boone's exit from the stage and her riveting performance leading up to that moment, the audience truly feels the tragic weight of Lady Macbeth's demise."

"As is to be expected, Macbeth is overshadowed by the dominant personality of his wife, Lady Macbeth, portrayed with sadistic relish by Jessica Boone. Given a much greater range than her rather pathetic husband who becomes king at her insistence (one can easily read this as a Shakespearean metaphor for Adam and Eve), Lady Macbeth is by far the most interesting character in the play and thanks to Boone we see her as the strong, calculating creature she ought to be."

"Jessica Boone as Rosalind and Ganymede pretty much steals the stage when she is on it. Ms. Boone is clearly headed for greatness and you must see her beautiful work in As You Like It if only to say many years hence, 'I saw her in As You Like It as the best Rosalind I have ever seen.'"
- Buzz Belmont, Houston Chronicle Online Critic
"Rosalind/Ganymede deserves a special mention for being incredibly well-played by Jessica Boone who can not only act but is also very pretty and has a striking voice as well."

Cymbeline
"Jessica Boone Delivers a Charmed Performance in Cymbeline...The central plot focuses on the good and fair Imogen (played by an exquisite Jessica Boone), who some say is Shakespeare's most perfect heroine...none of these supporting characters could save a show that did not have at its center a lovely and formidable Imogen. Happily, Jessica Boone delivers a charmed performance."

Or
"Jessica Boone makes a mischievous, impudent Nell Gwynne, playfully eager to defy convention. She's good in a couple of other roles, too, especially her showstopping scene as gushily gabby Lady Davenant."
